Trespassed over the staff stealing
My husband and I are an elderly disabled couple. We saved for 2 years to take a trip to Florida to celebrate our 17th anniversary.
Apon arriving at the Extended Stay in Silver Springs Florida we noticed how rude the staff was when they were all out front smoking weed and loudly cussing and talking about the guests. We stood and waited for several minutes before they bothered to help us with our check in.
The next day we went to Walmart and did some grocery shopping to have food in the room. We placed the food into the refrigerator and freezer and then left to do some site seeing. The next day we wanted to fix a meal and when we opened the freezer found that all of our food was floating in at least 2 inches of water.
We notified the staff but nobody showed up that day. The next day the so called maintenance showed up and wanted to argue with us and accused us of messing with the temperature control inside the fridge. He replaced it with a smaller one once we explained we had not touched it. With my reciept in hand I went down to find out how they planned to compensate us for the $120 worth of food that was ruined.
They told me to go F myself. I tried to get them to understand that being old and on SS benefits did not make us rich in fact that we struggle every single month due to lack of income and that sometimes hard decisions have to be made because of it. They didnt care at all. When I persisted over the next several hours they finally said they would comp one night.
I told them that was unacceptable because the room rate was $60 per night my reciept was for $120 so 2 nites was what I wanted. They said ok and I went back to the room. Next thing I know the police are banging on the door and we are being thrown off the property with no money no food and the young lady at the desk slandered us horribly in front of other guests.
I couldnt believe it was happening and she also stole ALL of my clothing from the dryers. Will never stay there again and have retained an attorney to help me show these people that they were nasty as could be and it was over the broken fridge no fault of ours.

15672 US Highway 19 North, Clearwater, Florida 33764, United States
I'll give 0 if I. Could.
I booked this place for work.
I told the person that booked it, I need the upstairs room, she said she will make a note. I work 4 nights, 12 hours per night for 90 days. Yes I received a discount.
The day I booked the discount they had a special 47 dollars per night. So it was not even a discount, because she told me, si ce there is a special, she could not pro ide any wxtra discount even for healthcare worker.
But boy oh boy, As soon as I got there, trouble started.
The receptionist was blunt and not professional. When I arrived inside the room, I found hair, tobacco leaves, the towels were nasty full of hair, as if they never replaced the towels from the last customer. On top of it, there was a leak coming from the upstairs room.
My first day first day, my husband and I clean the place, removed all the tobacco leaves and hair, dirt, thr door was shading foam stuff. I mopped, cleaned and let the know about the leak.
The maintenance guy was super nice, I let it go. I then went to work. The next few days, I could not sleep. Constant noise, foot steps, suff dragging.
I told them I did request for upstairs room, the very day. They kept giving me excuses. The 2 ladies including Kim with another black lady, very loud and unprofessional. They told me they have it but refused to do so.
I'm asthmatic. The room is wet, hot and the mold is strong. I think if I then change rooms, it might be better.
So I call and told them I needed the room upstairs, she agreed to give me the room later she wants to charge an e tra 22 dollars. I told the night receptionist.
I'm tired, I don't want to stay, then she wants to charge me more stating she will remove all the discount I received from them. I was like no, I cancel reservation all the time and there is no such thing. I'm tired. The place us awful and they don't get it.
I have to go into that room every day after work. And I'm tired. Please help, I don't want to speak to Kim. Kim is not nice.
They have no customer service at all and the place is terrible. All I wanted to do was to leave, since it was after 11am, I did not mind paying for the day, eventhough I'm not staying. I asked her to charge me regular pay. She refused and
Left my booking open.
I have a video recording discussing this with her. I actually did not get a medical discount, the price on Saturday the 15th was 47 as a special they had on line. So they could not offer dou le discount. I begged her to please let me pay, so i could move on.
she wanted me to pay 275 dollars for checking out too soon like I signed a least with them. So she told me I must pay...
I just need to go to another extended stay. That one is not going to work for me.
That lady made me feel bad for everything. I know it was that Kim the manager that made her do all of this.
She refused to let me pay for the 1 day although I'm not staying over.
- Worst extended stay ever

Verified Reviewer |Problem with elevator for wheelchair.man
Good morning,
My name is Alfredo Russo and I am staying at your Extended Stay America hotel in Davie Florida.
I am a wheelchair user and since last night the elevator in your hotel is not working and my apartment is on the second floor, you can understand the big problem I had last night and this morning to go down the stairs I had to call and pay a person to help me up the stairs, this evening if the lift is not repaired I will go to the hotel and ask through my lawyer for the costs incurred and the inconvenience you have caused me, it is not possible for this to happen in 2025 in a country like him USA.
Best regards.
Alfredo Russo.

Constantly inactivating my key card by management because I made a noise complaint..
I made to complaints yesterday. On September 6,2024.
About being harassed because I complained about to much noise Jessica the manager said that I have to come to the front desk to activate my key card everyday. She also ask me was I complaining because of the noise or because of to much partying by the resident in 201 next to me. If the key doesnt work to open the entrance door of the hotel. It doesnt work to open my room door.
I have been in this hotel for almost 3 weeks. And the day I complained about the noise the card stop working.
User's recommendation: Go to a hotel where a mixture of cultures work there. I noticed the bias in the way they treat there culture. And people from a culture different from theirs.
Nobody at front desk
Nobody at front desk and several customers, including myself, continued to wait. Customer service line
Was closed and no number posted in case of emergency.

They turned my power out came and forced me out promising a refund which I never got and their reason for entering my room was a faulty fire alarm yet that was the reason for my eviction because the fire alarm went off 3 times which we didn't know because it didn't work but the reason was originally a homemade bong supposedly which I proved to be wrong it was a *** no resolution I'm out over 485 plus I'm now homeless in the streets of Tacoma WA because of all this horrible management

The Mt Pleasant SC Extended Stay is disgusting. Mold on the chairs and furniture.
Mold, antiquated low lumens CFL lighting to hide it and smelly A/C ( even after cleaning the filters with boiling water and Dawn detergent). Microwave is still dirty after scrubbing with Dawn detergent. This place is seriously unhealthy

Verified Reviewer |Formal complaint about front desk assistant
Before coming here last week, I had a few problems with one of your front desk workers. It seemed that every time I came here to get a room, she would come up with some kind of excuse as to why a room was not available.
Upon leaving after being told this, I would see her laughing about it with another worker. I had never had a problem here before until she started working here. She displayed very poor customer service skills and I always left feeling lied to and disrespected. This time, however, she wasn't able to concoct a reason why I couldn't rent a room because it was a case manager who had rented the rooms for the three of us.
However, that did not stop her from trying to evict me. She called my room and told me that it was only paid up until Tuesday, 25th of June, for us and that I had to check out. But I was the only one she called and insisted that this wasn't a retaliation on their part, which I couldn't understand why. I told her that she was mistaken because I had just gotten another key and another employee confirmed I had four more days and that it would be on the camera if they checked.
The next thing I knew, I'm outside and the police showed up saying they were there to escort me off the property. I asked, 'For what?' They replied, 'Because they asked you to leave.' This was very embarrassing to say the least. Thankfully, my case manager was there and showed them the receipt which confirmed that it was paid up for another four days. Now their story changed after calling the police, which was unwarranted because I did not refuse to leave, and added to my public humiliation.
I recently asked if I could use the vacuum to clean up around my door and she replied they did not have one I could use, which I know is not true. Just the other night, I had asked to use one and she said yes. It's sitting there in plain sight behind the desk. I wonder if she behaves this way with everyone else.
A friend of mine, whom I shared this experience with, said she was somewhat rude to him too. So, I would appreciate some form of disciplinary action taken, and possibly a free night stay or maybe a substantial discount on two or more nights stay in the very near future. I don't know her name, but she is working tonight, the second shift on Thursday, June 27th, 2024.
I hope some action is taken in this matter because if my case manager hadn't been there, this situation could have ended very differently. I probably would be just now getting out of jail because she would not have confirmed what I said even if she had looked at the video of the other employee telling me about the four additional days.

The hotel is in a good location and the price was ok. The carpet was old and stained, Wi-Fi didnt work and hallways dark and some of the staff were rude
But the real problem is the management!
The worst. There is no management. If you say anything as a guest, they will attack you!
Very sketchy people staying here. One of the women at the front desk checks your personal information and calls you to tell you your horoscope by snooping on you!
The man who says he is the manager loses his temper and is full of rage.
You also have construction workers harassing women.
This is not a good hotel.
Other extended stays are better. There is no management at all.
- Location
- Lack of privacy
- Dirty carpet
- Lack of security

Verified Reviewer |Violence, abusive environment and terrible management
Stayed at the Extended Stay North Charleston. Terrible.
This is a dangerous location that even the police said they would not stay in. They have daily complaints. In the short time I stayed there, I saw the police come in every day and sometimes people go out on stretchers. There were men in tank tops just hanging out in cars by the hotel who did not stay there and were doing drugs.
There are a lot of construction workers who do not speak any English and approach all the women. This is terrible at night time. There are broken windows and no safety.
Random black men off the street will come yelling and try to get in through the back door. They bang on the windows.
No one does anything.
There are violent residents staying there who live there permanently and use every bad word you can think of. This does not feel like America. It feels like some third world country with a lot of gun and drug violence.
The management does nothing. They will make fun of you for asking them to do something about it.
The woman manager in charge is the worst.
She makes fun of the guests behind their back with the guy working there. He is loud, dramatic and hideous. Calling their customer service does not improve anything.
The district manager does nothing.
They should all be fired and this hotel shut down. Other locations are fine but this one is terrible.
- Cheap
- Aggression
- Drugs
- Bad management

Verified Reviewer |Wrongly thrown out 2hours after i paid 600$ for weekly visit
I stayed with Extended Stay for 8 months, from June of 2023 to February 2024. Then the hotel found out my boyfriend had a felony from 35 years ago because he was 20 and was dating a 17 year old.
They told us we had to go so we left, even though that was our legal residence. But, two months later in May 2024, they let me return because we weren't together anymore and he almost died. We remained friends. He asked me if I would let him get his oxygen tanks at the hotel.
I said yes, and they kicked me out over it again because we remained friends. This happened on Wednesday, the 26th of June, after I had paid almost $600 for my weekly stay. Then they refused to refund my money because of supposed missing items, even though I use all my own bed sheets and towels. I told them from day one that the room smelled of pot and cigarettes, and all they gave me was air freshener.
I also told them about hooks on the wall, but they never came to take them down and blamed me for them.
Currently, I am living on the street because they refuse to refund my money for things I didn't do. All I want is my money back, so I can find a place to live.
Preferred solution: Full refund

This isn't a flop house, they're running a business. You were asked to leave, so leave. Refuse to leave, certainly they'll call the police, as they should.
